One of the most common misconceptions about Freemasonry – and there are many of them – is that you have to be invited to join. There is absolutely no reason why you should not ask to join – in fact that is the correct procedure.

If you are interested in joining Freemasonry, you have taken your first step in the right direction. Freemasonry works that you only need to commit the time and effort that you want or can. Freemasonry will never ask you to place family, work or important interests ahead of what you want to get out of Freemasonry.
